Readers who subscribe by email may have noticed that in recent weeks I have been flagging up that the existing Feedburner email alert service is coming to an end in July.
I’m pleased to say that I have now found a viable solution, and email alerts will from now on be sent by follow.it
You do not need to re-subscribe to continue to get alerts but, if you want, you can make use of the much greater functionality that follow.it has compared with Feedburner, for example in terms of tailoring your delivery channels or applying filters. I think that the ways to do this will be clear in the email alerts you receive from now on, and there is also a link here. You will not receive any spam emails from follow.it and of course you can unsubscribe from receiving alerts at any time.
It’s just possible that during the handover you may receive alerts from both systems for this post and possibly also for the main post made this morning. If so, apologies, but it should be only a temporary hitch, which will be resolved by the time of next Friday’s post.
If there are further updates about this, I will include them as footnotes to future posts.
Apologies for any inconvenience, and many thanks to those of you who are signed up. I must admit that until the issue of Feedburner’s demise came up I had no idea that thousands of people were accessing the blog that way!
